Winona Ryder and Keanu Reeves Shooting a New Film Together

Exciting news has surfaced this week about a new project for Winona. She was spot on set in San Luis Obispo shooting a new movie with long time friend Keanu Reeves.

A video from a scene shot at the San Luis Obispo Regional Airport has also been released, and you can find some more videos published at The Tribune.

No further information about the movie has surfaced, but we’ll keep you informed.

Winona Ryder for Rag & Bone Campaign

Winona Ryder is the face of Rag & Bone’s fall campaign, chosen for her “beautiful, timeless quality,” said Marcus Wainwright, managing partner of Rag & Bone. “To us, Winona Ryder is a bona-fide icon. One of the things that makes her so cool is that although she has this incredible career, she isn’t interested in being a movie star.”

Glen Luchford shot Ryder — and actor Michael Pitt, for the men’s campaign — in Coney Island, N.Y. The campaigns will run in international editions of Vogue and GQ, as well as in issues of WSJ. Magazine, Vanity Fair, Interview, Lui and Gentlewoman.

Winona Joining Indie Drama ‘Experimenter’

The Hollywood Reporter – Peter Sarsgaard and Winona Ryder are starring in Experimenter, The Stanley Milgram Story, an indie drama written and directed by Michael Almereyda.

The movie will start shooting June 5 in New York and is being produced by Uri Singer of B.B. Films, Fabio Golombek of F.J. Productions, and Intrinsic Value’s Aimee Schoof and Isen Robbins.

According to the producers, the script is based on “the true story of famed social psychologist Stanley Milgram, who in 1961 designed the controversial Obedience Experiments at Yale University, observing the responses of ordinary people who believed they were sending harmful electrical shocks to an affable stranger.

“The experiments were about conformity and authority, and their implications continue to be deeply unsettling and resonant. But this was just the start of a wide-ranging career for Milgram, who also came up with the Small-World Experiment, the basis for Six Degrees of Separation.”

Sarsgaard is playing Milgram, while Ryder is playing one of his students, Sasha Menkin, who helps with the experiments and with whom he falls in love.

Gallery Update: Lucas

Still following our 10th anniversary presents, I will update our gallery by replacing some files, especially screen captures. To start, I have gorgeous HD captures of Winona’s very first movie, Lucas, to replace our previous HDTV ones. Follow the previews below:

‘Spaceship Earth’ – New Japanese Documentary

I was surprised today with this link to a japanese TV advertising which seems to be a documentary to be aired next November 26th at 9am (local time).

In a very bad translation from me, the program called “The Future of Spaceship Earth” will talk about the nuclear accident caused by the great East Japan Earthquake last year, and how people can environment the energy to take a better care of the planet.

On the page you can watch a 2 min video with an interview, and also an introduction to the program. Unfortunately it can’t be embed or downloaded (with sound), but I did a few screen captures. Check in our gallery, and go to www.nhk.or.jp/spaceshipearth in order to see the video.

Rumour for a new project

What Not
By Mark Harris and Jason Gordon

Crash” meets “History of Violence” – at first glance a gangster film… but one that unfolds to explore important social issue of race, identity, and belonging. A groundbreaking, musically driven urban drama/thriller.

This is the true story of two brothers…connected by fate but divided by race. By night, Emanuel Jones works within the Italian mob who assume he’s one of their own. By day he is forced to be the caretaker for his black foster brother, Carlo, a musical savant that no one knows exists. When these two disparate worlds come crashing together for the first time, Emanuel finds a way to seemingly rid himself of each once and for all…

But he will soon learn that leaving his life behind and starting over with a woman with an equally tormented past won’t be as easy as it seems…
