Winona is a Cheater!

Tuesday, Apr 6, 2010

Winona Ryder has joined the cast of Ron Howard’s infidelity comedy “Cheaters.”

Previously reported under the title “Your Cheating Heart,” but referred to by Deadline Hollywood as “Cheaters” (though it’s hard to tell if its just their shorthand in getting the story up or a legitimate title change) the film centers on a man who finds out his best friend’s wife is cheating, only to struggle with what to do with the knowledge. Vince Vaughn is set to play the man struggling the knowledge, while Ryder will play the cheating wife married to Kevin James. The film is based off an idea by Brian Grazer, produced by Vaughn and Imagine Entertainment and has been adapted into a script by Allan Loeb (“Wall Street 2,” “The Baster”).

While it was previously reported that this wouldn’t go in front of cameras until next year, the film is now being prepped for a spring shoot in Chicago.

RIP Brittany Murphy!

Monday, Dec 21, 2009

In a very sad and shocking news, I’ve opened my mail box today and read about Brittany Murphy death, at 32. I still can’t believe it.
My thoughts are with her family – specially her mother Sharon, friends and also her fans.

Brittany and Winona are good friends for a long time, since they work together in Girl, Interrupted. Most of Noni fans also like Brittany’s work, so here’s our tribute to her life and talent!

Winona join Darren Aronofsky’s Black Swan

Monday, Nov 9, 2009

SlashFilm has announced that Vincent Cassel, Winona Ryder, and Barbara Hershey have all joined the cast of Black Swan. The film stars Natalie Portman and Mila Kunis as rival ballet dancers at a dance school. Ryder plays Beth, who is a friend of Portman’s character and the lead in all of the school’s productions. She’s nearing the end of her career, so all of other dancers are aiming to take her place as Odette, the Swan Queen, in the next big ballet: Swan Lake. Cassel will play the handsome but sinister Yevna, director of the new stage production.

Shooting on Black Swan is scheduled to start in just a few weeks in New York City.

The 100 sexiest movie stars

Thursday, Oct 15, 2009

Not that I care about this things, but it’s IMO unnaceptable that this “most beautiful people” lists never list Winona, as a beautiful woman she is. Empire did the justice, and listed her into the 100 sexiest movie stars, in the position 49 for female. Yup, I know, but we can’t complain, she’s there.

No “Heathers” sequel

Sunday, Jul 5, 2009

When it comes to the recently rumored HEATHERS sequel, the original’s director Michael Lehmann has just two words: Corn Nuts.

He’s got another one: “No.” As Lehmann tells Movieline, “Winona [Ryder]’s been talking about this for years — she brings it up every once in a while and Dan Waters and I will joke about it, but as far as I know there’s no script and no plans to do the sequel. A couple weeks ago everyone started talking about it and I guess Winona said the movie was gonna get made, and I thought, “I don’t know, maybe they did this without me?” But I got in touch with Dan Waters and he said he didn’t know anything about it. So I don’t think there’s any truth to it.”

Despite the insistence of Spock’s mom that she and Christian Slater would somehow return, Lehmann pumps that theory full of Ich Lüge bullets: “a movie as specific as Heathers, which took place in a specific time and specific place and in which many of the characters got killed off, I never thought it made sense to see a sequel.”

The 1988 cult classic involves a clique of popular high school girls whose lives are disrupted by a rebellious new student who convinces one of the girls to start killing cruel classmates.
