“The Letter” poster is released!

The poster for Winona’s new movie, The Letter, has been released. The movie is set for a fall release, and it has Winona and James Franco in the cast.

A playwright (two-time Academy Award® nominee Winona Ryder, “Black Swan,” “The Age of Innocence”) begins to mentally unravel while preparing her latest work for the stage. She is plagued by dreams and visions of being watched, while also falling under the spell of her charismatic new leading man (played by Oscar® nominee James Franco, “127 Hours,” “Milk”). As the curtain call grows closer, she finds she can no longer decide if she is at the center of a manipulative plot or simply losing her grip on reality.

Directed by Jay Anania (”Shadows & Lies”), the film also stars Josh Hamilton (“J. Edgar”), Marin Ireland (“28 Hotel Rooms”) and Katherine Waterston (“Being Flynn”).

Check also a small still below, that was also released. We’re all now waiting for the trailer!

Thanks Chris B for the heads up!

  1. @anyone – Why do you think the producers of this STILL UNDATED film changed the title from “The Stare” to “The Letter”?

I mean, did someone send in a Letter for them to Stare at and then decide to rename what they had seen in their hands or what? Is this film, in any way, a homage to the classic film “The Letter” with Bette Davis (Um, hello, Winona Ryder! I sense an influence. Erbs!)

Now, don’t get me wrong – I’m still looking forward to seeing it, but…

What gives? I think the first choice was better (more anticipatory, intense)…anyone agree with me, or do you not care?

(btw – NICE SITE – especially the banner photo…great choice, very inspiring, indeedy)

    Mic  🙂
