WATER PILLS Short Film: I was the Director of Photography on Blake Sennett’s short film ‘Water Pills,’ starring Winona Ryder, Garret Dillahunt, Elisha Cuthbert, and Jasmine Jessica Anthony. We shot the short in early 2008 over 5 days in locations in and around Los Angeles using our newly purchased RED camera, ‘Brooklyn.’

SlashFilm has announced that Vincent Cassel, Winona Ryder, and Barbara Hershey have all joined the cast of Black Swan. The film stars Natalie Portman and Mila Kunis as rival ballet dancers at a dance school. Ryder plays Beth, who is a friend of Portman’s character and the lead in all of the school’s productions. She’s nearing the end of her career, so all of other dancers are aiming to take her place as Odette, the Swan Queen, in the next big ballet: Swan Lake. Cassel will play the handsome …

I just added a new theme to the gallery, and with it new pictures too, mostly old pictures of Winona’s court appearances. I was refusing to add more pictures on this episode, which I hate to see, but she was so adorable in most of it, and of course we cannot erase the past, just support her in the present.

The filmmakers are working on two films in Santa Clarita, ‘Manure’ and ‘Stay Cool.’

Independent filmmakers Mark and Michael Polish said today that they have formed their own production company, Prohibition Pictures, and will be making two films back to back at Melody Ranch Studios in Santa Clarita, starting Tuesday.
“Manure,” a comedy about manure salesmen, will star Billy Bob Thornton, Téa Leoni and Kyle MacLachlan. “Stay Cool,” another comedy, will star Winona Ryder, Sean Astin and Chevy Chase.
