And finally some information about Destination Wedding surfaced on entertainment media. Deadline published today about the movie – that just wrapped filming!
Keanu Reeves is reuniting with Winona Ryder to star in the upcoming romantic comedy Destination Wedding, written and directed by Victor Levin (5 to 7). The pic centers on two miserable and unpleasant wedding guests, both pariahs at this affair, who develop a mutual affection despite themselves. But to act on those feelings would be to trust hope over experience, a foolish choice indeed.
Gail Lyon of Sunshine Pictures and Two Camel Films’ Elizabeth Dell are producing along with Robert Jones for The Fyzz Facility, which is fully financing the film. Elevated’s Cassian Elwes and The Fyzz’s Wayne Marc Godfrey are executive producing. Filming just wrapped in central California.
Yesterday we published about Winona shooting a new film with Keanu Reeves in San Luis Obispo. Today we discovered the movie is “Destination Wedding” and new information has been posted at SLO Tribune post on Facebook.
According to the thread, a casting call for extras has been published (and its now deleted) containing the film’s name and synopsys.
Destination Wedding is a story of the triumph of hope over experience. Frank and Lindsay, two emotionally broken people, must attend a destination wedding at a vineyard in Paso Robles. They meet and, over the course of the weekend and against all odds, find themselves drawn to one another even as they are repulsed by one another. In the end, they must each make a choice: gamble again on love and on the theory that life can be a positive experience, or remain safe, aloof and alone.
