Another month, another site to our spotlight.

You all know Mr. Al Pacino. If you don’t know him through his extensive career (what I really think it’s impossible), you might know him from S1m0ne, or Looking for Richard, where Winona and Al worked together. So, he don’t need any presentation, but he needs a website dedicated to him.

Pacino Corner is a newest site, mantained by my good friend Nathalia, and in a few months it becomes a great resource dedicated to Mr. Pacino. Definitely worth a visit.

I received some emails asking about the gallery login. You may have noticed that I added a “captcha” thing, to prevent spammers. This is because I was tired about deleting some spams comments, and really would like to leave the comments function activated.

The captcha looks like this:

and you need to add the letters into this space:

So, if you’re having problems in login, be sure that you’re inserting the letters that’s being showed in the login form. Thank you!

The forum has,also again, a new theme. I found this one and it looks pretty. So, register and start to chat

Our Library is always being updated, the “news” articles aren’t appearing in the first page because they’re archived by date. Unfortunally there’s no sign indicating new articles, but you can always browse around. I’l also accepting help with this section, so if you have any article, interview, review or ANYTHING you think it can be added, please contact me.

Also, I’ve started to work – again – in our filmography section. So I just insert some really quick overview in all movies, while I work in the full content.

If you visit Winona Online a few time, you can noticed that I used to feature some sites at month. I really like to do this, because I can point my visitors to some of my favorite sites around. I’ve stopped this a few months ago, but since last month I’m doing this again, and now we have a section specially to my monthly choices. This month’s choice is Confessions of Christina Ricci, the longest and greatest site dedicated to Miss Ricci online. It’s worthwhile to do a visit.

Finally I’ve had some time to change the forum’s theme, and clean some spammers visit. Our forum isn’t very popular and there’s just some posts, and I was going to delete it. But I changed my mind and now I count with you to make it a funny place to chat.

I used a image that I really like, from “Lost Souls”. Maybe you don’t remember but this image was also used for a layout to the main site once. Yeah, I love it. I hope you like the new theme.

Well, registering is free, and posting, too. So, register and start to chat.

I know it’s been a long time since I put the site into mainentance mode. But I was planning to update the whole content and change some things which I couldn’t do with the site online. Now the site is all powered by WordPress (no more html pages!) and so much easier to update and insert pages. I’m still finishing some section (as the filmography page, which was incomplete until today) but it will be finishied soon.

And now the media section has it’s own domain: WinonaMedia.com. You will find all pictures, videos and fanarts in a same place, in a same url, much more easier to browse around. And now you can leave comments in the gallery pictures, because I added a “captcha” plugin who prevent spam bots, so feel free to comment in ALL pictures!

Well, that’s it. I have some work to do here, but I know the site is almost finished and I couldn’t wait to open it again. Happy browsing.

It’s online the Winona Online News Library, a place where I’ll be posting news, reviews, transcriptions, articles and everything more published on Winona.

Of course, it’s still in the beggining, but I have a lot of things to add. So be sure to check it daily. Contributions are always appreciated, so if you have something rare that you’ll be willing to share, email me ok?

Finally I found some time and opened a video archive to Winona Online! I have in my computer a huge folder with tons of Winona-related videos, that I’ve been downloading for a long time and this week I decided to upload it and share it with you.

The archive online are still in the beggining, but you can expect more this week.

And I added 100 captures from an interview Winona did to IGN site, in order to promote A Scanner Darkly. The file is too huge and I can’t upload it here, but you can view the captures at this time.

The things are very quiet in Winonaland, so it’s the reason this site isn’t being updated. I’m working now in a new version of the site, also in fixing all missing pages, specially in filmography. The new version will be ready this week.

Just made a new layout to the gallery, with the wonderful Brian Bowen Smith portrait, which was totally new to me. Thanks to WRNC for the heads up.

A little update: For now, comments are disabled on the gallery. It was full os fucking spammers, the captcha script wasn’ working, so unfortunally you can’t leave comments there, but you can leave comments here.

UPDATE: I have fixed some weird bug in the gallery, now all pictures are enlarging again. Thanks Henry and Yoshi for letting me know.

As you can see, there’s a new layout up. I’m still fixing some bugs, so if you see something purple, press F5. Also I made a new layout to the gallery, I hope you like it.
