SlashFilm has announced that Vincent Cassel, Winona Ryder, and Barbara Hershey have all joined the cast of Black Swan. The film stars Natalie Portman and Mila Kunis as rival ballet dancers at a dance school. Ryder plays Beth, who is a friend of Portman’s character and the lead in all of the school’s productions. She’s nearing the end of her career, so all of other dancers are aiming to take her place as Odette, the Swan Queen, in the next big ballet: Swan Lake. Cassel will play the handsome but sinister Yevna, director of the new stage production.
Shooting on Black Swan is scheduled to start in just a few weeks in New York City.

Then the film was talking about noni in Italy.
Noni and Natalie. Artistically mother and daughter.
I am very curious.
Good luck Noni
This is really great!
Sad to see she don’t get leading roles no more.
WOW ♪♪♪ What a wonderful news to hear today is \(^O^)/
Oh my god, the most beautiful news since very long time !!!
Noni and Nat, my two favourite actress in the same movie :o !!!
And a great director and one of the best french actor in activity, Vincent Cassel.
WOW!!!! That is a freakin’ dream come true. I’ve been working on a poster for a dream movie I have for Winona, Natalie and Keira, it’s called VERSION, and they all play the same character but the audience have to guess which actress they are watching. I will post the posters here one of these days. But this news is amazing!!!! Can’t wait. GO WINONA AND NATALIE.
maybe she must just want to do it her way,i still to wish they would recognize her even from her older movies..man they really missed didnt they????when i watch her im mezmerized..
A new project! I’m very very happy and curious. Good luck, Noni!
that sounds really great and interresting!!
when it is for cbs, it is a television-production, isn`t it?
i only can hope it will be shown in germany one day, too!!!
ok, it is not a leading role, but i`m happy she gets parts at all!
it`s better seeing her in supporting roles than seeing her acting no more!
and maybe she doesn`t care about. maybe she`s happy with such “little” roles- roles she wants to act, because her heart tells her so.
maybe she`s happy with not standing so much in public anymore.
( sorry when i make mistakes, i`m not a native speaker )
i wish her all the best!
win deserves to have a big movie! Hope she will have a real movie comeback!

…Rupert …I liked the first poster design you created …I’m mostly eager, and very surprised even, to see if Winona is actually going to perform a full ballet dance sequence in this film, even if its her last. If so, not a body-double, I hope. I believe she has this expressive potential to be a graceful “swan”. Now if it were me, on the other hand, I would simply head for the blue door to the cold NYC air outside and walk home with damaging pride …so be it …it might be worth it …okay, okay, I may try to “swanny” around a bit, but only if Black Swan, herself, were to ask me …and everyone would have to wear their 3-D glasses …so I could look better…
Thanks, Michael! Has anyone seen the picture of Winona taken years ago on top of a picnic table wearing a tutu? It’s totally adorable. I wonder if that’s here in the gallery.
…Your welcome Rupe, they were different and welcoming. Always create challenges from your inspirations is what I always remind myself to do and to others. Who knows, one day you might get to know yourself a whole lot better. Yep, yep.
